New Beginnings: A Home Renovation Journey

When it rains it pours. This phrase is often reserved for negative things, but on occasion it can be for positive situations as well. After about a year of waiting, we finally closed on our new house on January 8, 2021. Less than 24 hours later, our daughter, Mary Hayes, was born! I guess good things do come to those who wait.

Our New Home!

We have decided to start to chronicle our journey in revamping our new house. Our previous two houses were entirely flipped prior to us moving in, leaving us little room to adjust the house to suit our needs and style. Our new house was a short sale with a lot of deferred maintenance, leaving us opportunities to update and restore the home.

While the process may be slow, we plan to share before and after pictures, products used, and our overall experience rehabbing the house while caring for three young kids.

Together we will be working to restore the Wildhorse house under the name Wildgreen Restoration. Join us as we chronicle our home renovation journey over the next year or two. It will consist of DIY projects, hired projects, and a whole lot of love and work. This blog is where we will keep track of all of our home renovation projects. Look for links to our favorite products and products that we recommend. We can’t wait to share our vision and progress of this house with you!

Meet the family: Virginia, Thomas, Avery, William, and Mary Hayes. Together we will tackle DIY projects with the help from these guys.
